Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Transfer to Moshi

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by our team and transferred to your hotel in Moshi. After check-in and some time to rest, you’ll meet your mountain guide for a detailed pre-trek briefing and equipment check to ensure you are fully prepared for your Kilimanjaro climb. Overnight at Park View Hotel or similar.

Day 2: Marangu Gate (1,870m) to Mandara Hut (2,700m)

After breakfast, you’ll be driven to the Kilimanjaro National Park entrance at Marangu Gate. Once registered with the park authorities, the trek begins through lush tropical rainforest. This scenic trail is rich with birdlife, unique vegetation, and the possibility of spotting blue monkeys and colobus monkeys. After 4–5 hours of hiking, you’ll arrive at Mandara Hut, nestled in the forest. Dinner and overnight at Mandara Hut.

Day 3: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut (3,720m)

Today’s trek ascends through heath and moorland zones with clear views of both Mawenzi and Kibo peaks on a clear day. The trail is open and expansive, offering a unique change of scenery from the previous day’s rainforest. The walk takes around 5–6 hours, ending at Horombo Hut, where you’ll relax and acclimatize. Dinner and overnight at Horombo Hut

Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut (4,700m)

The trail continues past the “Last Water Point” and traverses the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo. This section of the trail is a vast alpine desert. Though physically more demanding, the slow pace and acclimatization help prepare for summit night. You’ll arrive at Kibo Hut in the afternoon and rest early in preparation for the early morning summit attempt. Dinner and overnight at Kibo Hut.

Day 5: Summit Day – Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) to Horombo Hut

You’ll be woken around midnight to begin the most demanding yet rewarding part of your trek. With headlamps lighting the way, you’ll ascend through scree and icy terrain to Gilman’s Point (5,685m), then continue to Uhuru Peak the highest point in Africa. After enjoying sunrise views from the summit, you’ll descend to Kibo Hut for a short rest, then continue back to Horombo Hut. Total trekking time: 12–14 hours. Dinner and overnight at Horombo Hut.

Day 6: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate

After breakfast, begin the final leg of your trek, descending through the rainforest to Marangu Gate. Upon arrival, you’ll receive your summit certificate to commemorate your incredible achievement. A driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Moshi for a well-deserved hot shower and celebration. Overnight at Park View Hotel or similar.

Day 7: Moshi to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you’ll depart Moshi for Tarangire National Park, a scenic 4–5 hour drive. Tarangire is known for its iconic baobab trees and massive herds of elephants, as well as lions, giraffes, and many bird species. You’ll enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch inside the park, followed by a short drive to Karatu, where you'll spend the night in the cool highlands. Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge or similar.

Day 8: Day Trip to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, head out on a full-day safari to the legendary Serengeti. Travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and enter the endless plains of the Serengeti, home to the Great Migration, abundant predators, and spectacular wildlife viewing. After a thrilling day of game drives and a bush picnic, return to Karatu in the late afternoon. Overnight again at Marera Valley Lodge.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Today you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife areas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater floor is home to the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, large elephant herds, lions, hippos, and thousands of grazing animals. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, followed by a drive to your lodge near Lake Manyara. Overnight at Heart and Soul Lodge Manyara or similar.

Day 10: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park for a half-day game drive. This lush park is known for its scenic beauty, flamingo-filled lake, tree-climbing lions, and abundant birdlife. Following the game drive and a picnic lunch, you’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your outbound flight or next destination.
