Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

Your adventure begins with a warm welcome at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). You'll be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Moshi, where you can relax and recover from your journey. In the evening, meet your mountain guide for a pre-climb briefing and equipment check. Overnight: Park View Inn or similar Meals: Bed & Breakfast

Day 2: Machame Gate (1,800m) – Machame Camp (3,000m)

After breakfast, drive to Machame Gate, where your climb officially begins. Hike through lush montane rainforest with towering trees and moss-covered vegetation. Today’s trek is a steady uphill climb to Machame Camp, your first overnight stop on the mountain.

Day 3: Machame Camp – Shira Camp (3,840m)

Leave the forest behind as the trail climbs through moorland and heather zone. Along the way, enjoy expansive views of Mount Meru and Kibo Peak. This shorter day allows you to slowly acclimatize.

Day 4: Shira Camp – Lava Tower (4,630m) – Barranco Camp (3,950m)

Today is an acclimatization day using the “hike high, sleep low” strategy. Climb up to the impressive Lava Tower at 4,630m before descending to the scenic Barranco Camp, nestled beneath the towering Barranco Wall.

Day 5: Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp (3,995m)

One of the most exciting parts of the trek awaits: climbing the famous Barranco Wall. Though steep, it’s not technical and offers rewarding views. The rest of the day is a gentle trek through alpine landscapes to Karanga Camp.

Day 6: Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp (4,673m)

Today is a short but important day as you reach Barafu Camp, the base camp for the summit. After an early dinner, rest and prepare for the midnight push to the summit of Africa’s highest peak.

Day 7: Summit Day – Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Mweka Camp

Summit day! Wake up around midnight and begin your ascent under the stars. After hours of steady climbing, reach Uhuru Peak – the highest point in Africa – just in time for sunrise. Soak in your achievement before descending to Mweka Camp for your final night on the mountain.

Day 8: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate

Descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you’ll receive your climbing certificate. After celebrating with your team, transfer back to Moshi for a hot shower and some well-deserved rest.

Day 9: Arusha National Park Safari – Departure

Today is a relaxing but enriching finale to your adventure. Travel to Arusha National Park, where you can enjoy a walking safari with a park ranger, game drives, and optionally, canoeing on Momella Lakes. Look out for giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, flamingos, and perhaps even glimpses of Mount Meru. In the afternoon, we’ll transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport for your departure, marking the end of an extraordinary journey. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
