11-Day Kilimanjaro Climb & Tanzania Safari | Machame Route + Serengeti & Ngorongoro

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be warmly welcomed by our friendly driver-guide and transferred to your hotel in Moshi. Settle in, relax, and recover from your journey. Later in the evening, you’ll meet your mountain guide for a pre-climb briefing, equipment check, and preparation for your Kilimanjaro adventure.

After breakfast, we drive to Machame Gate (approx. 1 hour). Upon registration and briefing, your Kilimanjaro climb begins. Today’s trail winds through dense rainforest, rich with birds and monkeys. By afternoon, you'll arrive at Machame Camp, your first overnight on the mountain.

Leave the forest behind and enter moorland with sweeping views. The trail climbs steeply along a ridge to the Shira Plateau, offering views of Mount Meru and the plains below. Today’s hike is shorter but steeper.

This is your acclimatization day. You ascend to the dramatic Lava Tower, where you’ll eat lunch at altitude, then descend to Barranco Camp. This "climb high, sleep low" approach significantly helps your body adapt.

Today begins with an exciting climb up the Barranco Wall, a steep but non-technical rock face with incredible views. The trail then winds through valleys to Karanga Camp, a shorter day to allow for rest and acclimatization.

A gradual ascent takes you to Barafu Camp, your base camp for the summit attempt. Rest, hydrate, and enjoy an early dinner before heading to bed for a few hours of sleep. Your summit push begins at midnight.

Wake around midnight and begin the trek to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Reach Stella Point for a breathtaking sunrise, then continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m). Celebrate your achievement before descending to Barafu, resting briefly, and continuing to Mweka Camp.

Enjoy your final hike through the rainforest. At Mweka Gate, you’ll receive your summit certificate and say goodbye to your mountain crew. Start your safari adventure! Drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands into Serengeti National Park. Enjoy game viewing en route as you spot wildlife like zebras, wildebeests, lions, and possibly cheetahs. Reach your tented camp by sunset.

Spend the day exploring the vast Serengeti plains. Depending on the season, you might witness the Great Migration, or see lions hunting in the golden grasslands. Enjoy a picnic lunch and an unforgettable game drive experience with your guide.

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend 600 meters into the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. Spot elephants, rhinos, lions, flamingos, and more during your crater game drive. In the afternoon, return to Arusha.
