Join fellow adventurers on our Kilimanjaro Group Join Climb via the Machame Route, also known as the Whiskey Route for its challenging yet rewarding nature. This popular trail offers one of the most scenic and enjoyable trekking experiences on Mount Kilimanjaro. Unlike the Marangu Route (Coca-Cola Route) with hut accommodations, Machame climbers hike steeper trails and camp in tents, making it a true wilderness adventure.

Our 7-day group itinerary provides an excellent acclimatization schedule, increasing your summit success rate. The trek begins at Machame Gate, located on the southern base of the mountain in a lush rainforest, before ascending through the Shira Plateau and traversing the southern circuit, offering panoramic views of Kilimanjaro from all angles. The summit approach is made from the east, and the descent follows the Mweka Route.

• Day 1: Machame Gate (1790m) to Machame Camp (3010m)
• Day 2: Machame Camp (3010m) to Shira Camp (3845m)
• Day 3: Shira Cave (3845m) to Barranco Camp (3960m)
• Day 4: Barranco Camp (3960m) to Karanga Camp (3963m)
• Day 5: Karanga Camp (3963) to Barafu Camp (4640m)
• Day 6: Barafu Camp (4640m) to UHURU PEAK (5895m) & down to Millennium Camp (3790m)
• Day 7: Trek Millennium Camp (3790m) to Mweka Gate (1630m)
