1-Day Arusha National Park Walking Safari

Morning: Transfer & Guided Walking Safari Your day begins with a morning pick-up from your Arusha hotel or lodge, followed by a short drive to Arusha National Park. Upon arrival, meet your armed ranger who will brief you about the park and safety procedures before setting off on your guided walking safari. As you explore the trails around Ngurdoto Crater, Momella Lakes, and the forested areas of Mount Meru, you’ll encounter buffalo herds, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, and possibly the rare colobus monkeys. Along the way, your ranger will share fascinating insights about the park’s ecosystems, flora, and volcanic formations that make this landscape so unique. Midday: Picnic Lunch in the Wild Pause at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the shimmering lakes or Mount Meru for a relaxing picnic lunch. Enjoy your meal surrounded by breathtaking views and the sounds of the wild  a truly authentic safari experience. Afternoon: Canoeing or Game Drive Option After lunch, continue exploring the park on foot or choose an optional canoeing safari on the Momella Lakes (at extra cost). Glide across calm waters as you spot flamingos, pelicans, and perhaps hippos resting along the shore. Later in the afternoon, begin your return journey to Arusha, arriving in time to relax and reflect on a day well spent in one of Tanzania’s most peaceful and picturesque parks.
