Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara
Your adventure begins at 8:30 AM with a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha, followed by a scenic drive to Lake Manyara National Park. You’ll carry packed lunches for a full day of exploration. As you enter the park, you’ll be greeted by lush woodlands filled with Acacia and Mahogany trees, setting the stage for a memorable safari. Throughout the day, you’ll have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, buffaloes, impalas, blue monkeys, and large troops of baboons. Keep an eye out for the park's famous but elusive tree-climbing lions. During certain seasons, the lake’s edge turns a striking pink due to thousands of flamingos. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, you’ll head to your lodge or camp for a hearty dinner and a restful night.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Return to Arusha
Your day begins early with breakfast, followed by a 6:30 AM descent into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the world’s largest unbroken caldera and offers exceptional game viewing. The 5-hour safari on the crater floor provides opportunities to spot an incredible array of animals, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, hippos, black rhinos, and buffalos. After enjoying a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, you’ll ascend the crater walls and begin the return drive to Arusha. Expect to arrive by around 6:00 PM. With unforgettable wildlife sightings and beautiful landscapes fresh in your memory, your safari comes to a close as you say farewell to your guide and team.
