Day 1: Zanzibar – Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

Your journey begins early in the morning with a scenic flight from Zanzibar to Arusha. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your professional safari driver-guide and set off toward Lake Manyara National Park. The park’s diverse habitats range from lush groundwater forests to open grasslands and the shimmering lake itself. Keep an eye out for tree-climbing lions, large herds of elephants, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, and hundreds of pink flamingos along the lakeshore. Baboons, vervet monkeys, and a variety of bird species add to the park’s rich biodiversity. After a full afternoon of game viewing, you’ll drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight at your safari lodge.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu

After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater. You’ll encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and the rare black rhino, along with hippos in the pools and numerous bird species. A scenic picnic lunch near the hippo pool allows you to relax amid breathtaking views. In the afternoon, you’ll ascend from the crater and return to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.
