Tour Plan
Day 1: Arusha/Moshi – Lake Manyara National Park
Start your journey with a scenic drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, lush forests, and the pink-hued flamingos gracing its alkaline lake. En route, stop at Mto wa Mbu, a vibrant village offering a taste of local culture and crafts. Once inside the park, enjoy a game drive through diverse habitats home to elephants, baboons, hippos, giraffes, and over 400 species of birds. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, head to your lodge or tented camp near Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay
Day 2: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, set off for the legendary Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Highlands with sweeping views along the way. Once you enter the Serengeti’s endless plains, begin your afternoon game drive, where you're likely to encounter prides of lions, grazing herds of buffalo, elegant giraffes, and if lucky the stealthy leopard. Depending on the season, you may witness parts of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a lodge or tented camp deep within the Serengeti.
Day 3: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After an early morning breakfast, embark on a sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, a prime time for predator sightings and dramatic wildlife activity. Carry a packed lunch as you journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping for game viewing along the way. Witness zebra herds, topi, eland, jackals, and possibly black rhinos in their natural habitat. Reach your lodge or campsite at the crater rim by evening for dinner and overnight with panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a 600-meter-deep volcanic caldera brimming with wildlife. Enjoy a half-day game drive in this natural enclosure, where elephants, lions, wildebeest, black rhinos, hyenas, and hippos roam freely. The crater’s floor offers one of the best chances to see the endangered black rhino. After a picnic lunch inside the crater, begin your return journey to Arusha or Moshi, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
