Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Transfer to Moshi

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you'll be welcomed by our team and transferred to your hotel in Moshi town. This is your opportunity to settle in, meet your Kilimanjaro guide, and go through a detailed briefing and gear check to prepare for your trek. Overnight at Park View Hotel or similar.

Day 2: Marangu Gate (1,870m) – Mandara Hut (2,700m)

After breakfast, you'll be driven to Marangu Gate to complete park formalities and begin your Kilimanjaro climb. The trail leads through lush rainforest, where you may spot black-and-white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and a wide variety of birds. The path gradually ascends to Mandara Hut, your first overnight stop on the mountain. Overnight in dormitory-style cabins at Mandara Hut. Trekking time: 4–5 hours.

Day 3: Mandara Hut – Horombo Hut (3,720m)

Today's trek climbs through moorland terrain, offering increasingly wide views of the landscape. On clear days, you’ll see both Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. The vegetation begins to thin out, and you'll notice giant groundsels and lobelias along the trail. Overnight at Horombo Hut. Trekking time: 5–6 hours

Day 4: Horombo Hut – Kibo Hut (4,700m)

After an early breakfast, you’ll continue past the last water point toward the lunar-like alpine desert. The trail crosses the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo, a barren landscape with sweeping views. Arrive at Kibo Hut in the afternoon and rest early in preparation for your midnight summit attempt. Overnight at Kibo Hut. Trekking time: 6–7 hours.

Day 5: Summit Day – Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Return to Horombo Hut

Around midnight, begin your final push to the summit. Trek slowly through the dark, cold night, pausing to rest as needed. Reach Gilman’s Point on the crater rim just in time for sunrise, then continue to Uhuru Peak – the highest point in Africa. After photos and a brief celebration at the top, begin your descent to Kibo Hut for a break, then continue further down to Horombo Hut. Overnight at Horombo Hut. Total trekking time: 12–14 hours.

Day 6: Horombo Hut – Marangu Gate – Return to Moshi

After breakfast, make your final descent through the rainforest to Marangu Gate. You'll receive your official Kilimanjaro summit certificate before returning to Moshi by private transfer. Enjoy a hot shower and some well-deserved rest back at your hotel. Overnight at Park View Hotel or similar. Trekking time: 5–6 hours.

Day 7: Moshi to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Moshi for Tarangire National Park, a scenic 4–5 hour drive through Maasai villages and open plains. Tarangire is famed for its ancient baobab trees and one of the highest densities of elephants in East Africa. During your game drive, you’ll also encounter lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and a remarkable variety of birdlife. After a picnic lunch in the park, continue to the highlands of Karatu for the night. Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge or similar.

Day 8: Lake Manyara National Park

After an early breakfast, drive to nearby Lake Manyara National Park, known for its dramatic scenery and diverse habitats. Enjoy a game drive along the lake where flamingos gather, and keep an eye out for elephants, hippos, baboons, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a relaxed bush picnic before continuing your wildlife exploration. In the late afternoon, return to your lodge in Karatu. Overnight again at Marera Valley Lodge.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Today you'll descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. The crater floor is home to the Big Five and a stunning variety of animals living in a natural enclosure formed by the collapsed volcano. After a full morning game drive and a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, begin your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha for your onward journey.
