Day 1
Machame Gate – Machame Camp

Day 3
Shira Camp – Lava Tower – Moir Hut
Today is an important acclimatization day. You climb toward Lava Tower at approximately 4,630m, spending time at higher altitude before descending to Moir Hut at around 4,200m. This follows the principle of “climb high, sleep low” and gives your body valuable time to adapt.

- Distance: 10 km
- Hiking Time: 6–8 hours
- Habitat: Alpine Desert
Day 4

- Distance: 8 km
- Hiking Time: 5–7 hours
- Habitat: Alpine Desert
Day 5
Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp
After breakfast, tackle the famous Barranco Wall. Although it looks intimidating from camp, the trail is a manageable scramble rather than technical climbing. After reaching the top, continue through a series of valleys and ridges toward Karanga Camp.
- Elevation: 3,960m → 4,035m
- Distance: 5 km
- Hiking Time: 4–5 hours
- Habitat: Alpine Desert
Day 6
Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp
Today's trek is relatively short but takes you to high altitude. Continue toward Barafu Camp, the base camp for your summit attempt. After arriving, you will have time to rest, eat, prepare your summit equipment, and receive a briefing from your mountain crew.
- Elevation: 4,035m → 4,640m
- Distance: 4 km
- Hiking Time: 4–5 hours
- Habitat: Alpine Desert
Day 7
Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Millennium Camp
You begin the summit attempt around midnight. Trek slowly through the darkness toward Stella Point (5,739m) and continue along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa.
After celebrating your achievement and taking photographs, descend back through Barafu Camp and continue to Millennium Camp for a well-earned rest.

- Distance: 17 km
- Hiking Time: 12–15 hours
